Short Cut Smoothies

by Amanda @ A Few Short Cuts on July 23, 2009

These are so yummy! And they are super easy to make too! In my “before kid days” I used to love going to this Smoothie Places a getting a fancy smoothie. Then, I had kids! Now, we make our own at home, and let me tell you they are just as good if not better!

Short Cut Smoothie
————————

  • 1 Banana
  • 2 Cups Frozen Fruit (your choice)
  • 1 Cup Fruit Juice (your Choice)

—————————
Throw it all into the blender and let ‘er rip.
I usually put the banana at the bottom so the blender doesn’t get locked up.

Mix and match different kinds of fruit.
You could probably even sneak in a veggie or 2.
This is what it will look like when it is all blended. (color will vary depending on fruit used)

Be warned….this is what you will see after they are served!

*Note if serving in Sippy cup take out the stopper. Otherwise the little seeds and stuff may clog it.

You will buy yourself at least 10 minutes of silence.
That alone is worth the smoothie!
I linked this recipe up at Life As Mom

how much do you generally pay for your frozen fruit? I was surprised how expensive it was at walmart today.
