Mom Time Monday: Make Yourself Feel Pretty

It’s Monday, so that means it’s time for Mom! This week I want us all to try to do something that makes us feel pretty. I know it is hard for me to justify spending time getting ready every morning. The kids don’t care if I have makeup on. Someone will probably just try to wipe their boogers on a nice shirt, so why even bother.

Let’s bother today because it makes us feel better. It makes us feel better about ourselves, and it shows our kids we haven’t given up on ourselves just because we are moms. Not to mention, it might cause our husbands to give us another look today.

It is so easy to get stuck in a rut. I know I have lately. So, I am trying to dedicate some time to myself to get myself back into shape. I can’t use the “I have a baby” excuse anymore. She is 19 months old! Then, I just might fit into some of my nicer clothes this fall. Here’s hoping!

So today, try to do something a little different. Put on some makeup, fix your hair differently, paint your fingernails, put on a nice outfit, something to make you feel better. Even, if it takes a little time away from cleaning the kitchen!

OK, I was going to stay in my work out clothes all day – but you have inspired me to take a shower, put on "real" clothes, and maybe even blow dry my hair!!! My husband and friends thank you!!!!

That's too funny! Glad I at least helped 1 person today! Now, if I could just get myself motivated!
