Time for a fun Halloween Craft. It is also great for homeschoolers, because it is science related! We are going to make slime! 2 different versions!
The first reminds me of GAK! You know the stuff that they used to sell that they had on Nickelodeon. Yes…back in the day!
It is super easy to make!
All you need is the following….
- 1 bottle of elmers glue
- 1 tsp borax
- 1 cup water
- green food coloring

You will need 2 small bowls.
Put 1/2 cup of water in each.
In one bowl add food color and glue.

In the other dissolve the borax.
Now, dump the borax water into the glue water.
Let sit for a minute then stir with a spoon, or your hand.
The Gak will separate from the water. Remove your Gak from the water and VOILA.
Let the kids play with this in the kitchen or outside. It will stick to fabric! I learned the hard way.
The second SLIME is even easier!
All you are going to need is….
- 1 box of corn starch
- water
- food coloring
Place about 1/2 cup of water in a bowl.
Add food coloring (we used green)
Start missing in Corn Starch. It will take quite a bit. You will know when it is ready!
You will end up with the most fun concoction!
It is stiff like clay, but when you hold it in your hand it runs out like a liquid! Go figure!
Let the kids get there hands dirty and have a slimy day!
