Publix has the Dole Fruit Bowls BOGO this week. To a normal person this wouldn’t be anything special. I have decided I am not normal!
I am an obsessive couponer! I can admit it. I can admit that I purchased 8 Dole Fruit Bowls, so I could mail in the rebate form to get coupons for 4 more. I can admit that I will hold those 4 coupons until there is another BOGO sale so I will get 8 more Dole Fruit bowls. Good thing my kids love fruit!
If any of you are obsessive couponers like me, and I know you are!
You have plenty of fruit in your house! If you are wondering what to do with all of it, I have a great idea for you today! Fruit Parfaits!
This is more of an idea post than a recipe, because there are so many options! Plus, it is extremely easy! Great for the kids to help with.
Dessert:
For dessert tonight I made the kids parfaits (In fancy glasses of course). I layered Animal Crackers, Diced pears, and cool whip. They were a huge hit! Plus, they were fairly healthy! Score one mom!
You could use any type of cookie and these would be great. You could even make one layer ice cream! Ooohhh Yum!
Breakfast:
Now, if you are looking for unique breakfast ideas try this! Layer their favorite Cereal or granola, fruit and yogurt! YUM! The combos are endless.
Who says these are only for kids??? These are a great low cal dessert or breakfast option for anyone!
An added bonus is that you choose what to layer. If you have Gluten Free or Dairy Free needs you can play with the ingredients. I used Gluten Free Animal Crackers for my sons. My daughter had Dairy Free Yogurt in hers. A win win all around.
At least now you know what to do with all of the fruit in the pantry!

Delightfully Glazed Gluten Free Doughnut Holes
Fiesta Stuffed Mini Peppers
Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Strawberry Salsa
Zucchini and Corn Medley

I just love your website and ideas. You are a girl after my own heart and a fellow coupon addict! Is there any other way to be?
Here’s an even thriftier idea for you….do you ever recycle those little plastic cups for anything? I’m not much of a recycler. But I work in a doctor’s office and a patient brought us little candy treats at Christmas time. Guess what the candy was in? Dole fruit bowls! She put the candy in them and then put them in a plastic baggie and tied them closed with a ribbon. I thought it was a pretty cute idea. Just thought I’d share that one with ya.
Keep those ideas coming!

Oh Oh Oh….What a great idea for valentines day! The kids could put little candies in them, and use red and pink tissue paper or little Cellophane bags from the dollars store! What a cute idea!
Thanks Leigh Ann!

See, I didn’t even think about Valentine’s Day. That is a great idea! I might do that myself…
Fantastic idea! The kids and I made these as a snack this afternoon with Teddy Grahams and went a little light on the whip cream. They loved it! Thanks!
