Whoa! You actually fried it??? I’ve made it before without frying it, so I guess it’s not fried ice cream… but whatever I made was yummy. Maybe I’ll find the courage to actually make FRIED ice cream.

I make this all the time…. however, I find that it tastes similar enough for me when I just scoop the ice cream, roll in the corn flakes and cinnamon, and drizzle with honey. I always put whipped cream on mine.
I have never actually fried mine. And the wax paper and waiting isn’t my style.. I have no patience;) Especially when it comes to dessert!

I miss EL TORITO! I grew up in Miami and have never had fried ice cream like I had it there! I remember being a 12 year-old and being AMAZED at the possiblity. I remember that the waiter told me that the post important thing was to “deep fry” it in order to be able to pull it out right away…to hard to do at home. Gonna try this recipe…mmmmm.
