I have been trying to use some items from my stockpile and my freezer the past couple weeks. I wanted to use some items I had on hand instead of purchasing more. I found a couple packages of thick pork chops in my freezer. Teriyaki Pork chops sounded just right for dinner, but I wanted to spend the afternoon with the family.
“Oh, Hamilton!” Yes, I named my crockpot.
I tossed in the Pork chops, and some Teriyaki sauce, and walked away! I love letting my crockpot do all the work for me!
I have also been faced with an over abundance of Grapefruit since I got them free this last week at Publix. They are my favorite breakfast food, but I am trying to spread my wings and do something different. So, I made a side salad with a Grapefruit dressing. WOW! Amazing!
Here are the directions so you can enjoy this scrumptious meal one day soon!
Crockpot Teriyaki Pork Chops
-
(4) 3/4 inch thick pork chops
-
1 bottle of Teriyaki Marinade or you can Make your own with this recipe
-
1/2 tsp ground ginger
-
1/4 cup honey
Place all of the ingredients in the crockpot on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6 hours.
Serve with rice
Grapefruit Dressing for Salad
-
1/4 cup grapefruit juice
-
1/4 cup olive oil
-
1 tsp Garlic Salt
-
Dash of Chili Powder
-
Dash of pepper
Whisk together ingredients for dressing.
Serve over a bed of mixed greens. Add grapefruit segments and pecans if desired.
This meal was so quick and easy! You can most likely make it from items you have on hand, or with very few items purchased.

lol–love that you named your crockpot- I’m all out of porkchops but will try the grapefruit dressing as I too have a good amount–tried the broiled grapefruit this weekend and I loved it! Dh only eats his grapefruit plain-and kids are not fans of a citrus (go figure since we live in Fl)-but on the salad-maybe–thanks for the great ideas.
