004

I had this whole post planned out, all the things I would say about this wonderful dessert.  Then, I saw the picture after I took it….Do you need words?

I didn’t think so.

Without further ado…the reason I will be working out for the next week.

Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 6

Ingredients
  • 1 Box Brownie Mix Prepared as directed (I used Betty crocker GF)
  • 1 lb Strawberries (washed & sliced)
  • 1 large Vanilla Jell-o instant pudding package (prepared)
  • 1 8oz Tub Whipped Topping (thawed)
  • Chocolate Sauce

Instructions
  1. Cut prepared brownie into bite sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl mix together cooled prepared pudding and whipped topping.
  3. In a large trifle bowl, or individual dishes layer ⅓ of the brownie, strawberries, pudding mix, and chocolate.
  4. Continue layering until all ingredients are used.
  5. Top with a whole strawberry.
  6. Serve chilled

Notes
Gluten Free – I used Betty Crocker Gluten Free Brownie Mix Line the brownie pan with foil. Makes it a lot easier to get the brownies out. Prep this dessert ahead. Make brownies, pudding and slice berries. Assemble last minute for your guest/family and they will think you are AMAZING! Can be made with other berries or even cherries for a twist!

  1. My apologies for a dumb question…did you use vanilla flavored pudding mix?

  2. How many servings did you get from this dessert?

  3. Mmm, my family makes a trifle very similar to this. It’s one of our absolute faves. But, I like your idea of adding strawberries to it for a nice fruity touch. I have a sweet treat linky party going on at my blog till tomorrow night and I’d like to invite you to stop by and link your trifle up. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2011/03/sweets-for-saturday-9.html
