It is August and that means back to school time is right around the corner.  My kids take there lunch everyday, and I am always hearing, “ Oh, PB&J again.”  Well,  How many lunchbox ideas are there.  I am here to help you figure out just how many.

Over the next few weeks I will be bringing you lunch box ideas.  We need to be creative and think of new fun ways to nourish our children.  Hopefully these ideas will help you pack your kids a more excited lunch box this year!

I found this recipe/idea on Pinterest when I was browsing the other day and couldn’t pass it up!  These are so stinking cute!

Elvis was famous for his peanut butter and banana sandwiches but I but he never ate one like this!

Peanut Butter and Banana Dogs

Serves: 1
These will make your kids giggle and their friends want one for their lunch!
Ingredients
  • Hot dog bun
  • Peanut Butter
  • Banana
  • Strawberry or Cherry Jelly for faux ketchup
Directions
  1. Open hot dog bun and smear with Peanut Butter.
  2. Peel whole banana and lay inside.
  3. Top with a squiggle of jelly to make it look like ketchup.
  4. Serve, or wrap and pack.
