So this isn’t your typical coupon post, but I really want to share this with you guys. I just got back from Sears getting two tires replaced. For right around $50. How you ask??
I had bought 4 new tires last year from Sears because…well…..it was at the mall and I could distract the kids with food and shopping while it was getting done. When they were finished they asked if I wanted their Road Hazard for something like $10. I usually pass up on these things but the man was very nice and with a wink and a nod said yes…I did want it. So I caved. It was just $10.
Well, seriously a week later I was traveling down the interstate and I picked up a piece of metal in one of my brand new tires. I headed to sears and the replaced the tire…free of charge. The road hazard warranty carried on to the new tire.
So that brings me to today. I had a tire with what I thought was a small whole because it kept loosing air. I took my car in to sears and it was a nail in the sidewall, which is unrepairable. Even though I had the tires for well over a year, I was fully covered for it to be replaced because I hadn’t put a lot of wear on them. They also caught that a second tire had a piece of rubber missing that made it unsafe and replaced it under the warranty as well. I paid about $50 today because one of the tires was only 80% covered, and I of course bought the road hazard again.
Those 2 tires would have cost me over $170 today so that $10 Road Hazard plan saved me over $120 today alone. I wanted to share my story with you in case you are like me and generally turn down extra warranties. Some times they do pay off!

Thanks for sharing! My husband recently got new tires and paid for some warranty and I was shaking my head wondering why he did that since the chances of something happening to his tires within the warranty time frame were slim, but I guess that isn’t always the case!
I just got new tires with Sears and four days after the install I got a nail in one of them. I was also glad I got the Road Hazard warranty, although I think mine was more but my tires are almost $200 a piece.
