Kitchen Short Cuts: Keep the Sink & Stove Clean with Car Wax

stove wax

This is totally not a joke! You can keep your kitchen sink and your stove clean with car wax.  I was skeptical myself until giving it a try a few weeks ago.  My jaw hit the floor the first time I went to wipe off the stove after frying pork chops. I probably could have just wiped it clean with a paper towel. I was sold.  My husband saw me waxing the stove and I swear he looked at me like I had absolutely lost my mind.  I explained, very sanely, what I was doing.  I still got that look, you know the one.  When he saw the results he completely understood.

You don’t need anything fancy, just plain ole’ Turtle wax will do.  You want to start with a sparkling clean surface.  This will work on the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, etc. It also works on traditional stovetops, just not the glass tops.  Apply the wax just like you would to a car. Wax on…wax off.  Your newly waxed surface should be much easier to clean for 1-2 weeks, depending on use. Once it wears off, just reapply.

You will be amazed at how much easier this makes cleaning the kitchen!
