Introducing the Newest Members of Our Family

So I have a bad habit.  I have a tendency to get on craigslist and look at puppies. Yep, I admit it.  I do it all the time.  I think I may have just learned my lesson.  I have been home all week by myself, which I understand some people are grateful for.  I just miss my babies! I guess I have empty nest syndrome because I have been mopey and just not myself all week.  So, this morning I was doing my ritual of looking at puppies on craigslist and found 2 Red Bone Coon Hound Puppies that needed a home. If you would have seen the picture posted of these sad little tiny eyes you would have given in too! I called my hubby who was thrilled because #1 He was making me happy. #2 It is almost hunting season and these are coon hounds! #3 Serious brownie points with the kids.

After we picked the kids up from school, we went to see the puppies and pick one (1).  Folks, when there are 2 cute puppies looking at you and 3 adorable kids looking back…it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to say no! So, I introduce you to, Charlotte & Savannah. The newest members of our family!

They have already made themselves at home with their big brother, Huckleberry.  The kids are in love, and they are very well behaved. I swear they have already attached themselves to the kids and have their own little buddies.

I may have lost my mind completely, but you only live once folks.  I am in love with my new babies, and we couldn’t be happy to have grown our family by 2!  Moral of the story….stay away from looking at puppies on craigslist…unless you are serious. ;)

  1. They’re so adorable and I love their names!!

  2. We bought two goldendoodle puppies (litter mates)3 years ago, and we are so glad we did two! To watch them in action is so much fun, even the kids commented on how “watching them is better than TV”. It’s a lot of work at first, but once you have them potty trained its much easier. Can’t imagine life without my other “two kids” aka Zoey and Mack. Have fun! And enjoy that puppy stage, take lots of pictures!!

  3. Too cute!! Enjoy your new additions to your family. And better really start clipping those dog food coupons.

  4. I think you took these puppies in for a reason. They are adorable little girls, and I am sure they will give you years of love and loyalty. Enjoy them!

Oh no.. We have been wanting a pet forever and when I say we I mean my 4 kids and me but not the hubby lol. I read the first part of your warning/post and went “wait a minute.. there’s puppies on craigslist?!” Then I had to go check them out! lol You’re getting me in trouble! ;)

Oh and I had an uncle that used to raise coon hounds when I was younger. They are very sweet friendly dogs! I think I would have had to take both of those cuties too!
