As many of you know I went to BlogHer this last week in New York City. It is a blogger conference that many go to every year. This was my first. After a few travel hiccups courtesy of Delta, I finally made it. I am not sure what exactly I expected, however I came home exhausted, blistered, and needing a vacation.
I did a ton of walking, I am sure there were miles added to my shoes. New York was a little dirtier than I expected. It was also much more expensive than I expected. Just ask my friend Mary over at Couponers United. We both ordered Ice Tea at Lunch and both got a single refill. When we received our bill I was shocked to find that tea was $10! No free refills in NYC.
I did make the trek down to the World Trade Center site, via the subway, thanks to Jenny from Southern Savers for teaching me about that! I don’t know that I would have braved the subway without a little encouragement.
That was an amazing experience and if you ever go to NYC you must check it out!
I think the best part of the conference was getting to meet my blogging buddies. We work so closely together online, but very rarely get to spend time together in real life. This is me and Karen from Saving the Family Money at the Social Soiree.
I loved strolling around the expo haul and meeting some great brands. There were some fun photo opps too! Then there were times we got to relax and just be goofy. Here is Mary (Couponers United), Emily (Clever Housewife), and myself being silly at the CheeseburgHer party.
Would I go to Blogher again? I am not so sure. There are many other blogging conferences that aren’t as hectic. BlogHer had 4500 bloggers in one area for 4 days. You can imagine the chaos. It was go go go from sun up till after the sun went down. I did have a blast with my blogging buddies and making connections, so time will tell.
And I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy any of the above without my fabulous sponsor International Delight! I have some fun videos and things coming from International Delight too!

BlogHer sounds like it was a lot of fun (minus the prices and people). I do wanna eventually go one year, but I think until then, I will just find a state-wide event to go to.
Was so great seeing you again after over a year! Isn’t the Memorial amazing! I saw it last year, via the subway,
and it really is breath taking. I think I’d rather take the subway than endure those taxi rides. LOL
