Planting Spring Bulbs with Miracle Gro

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts Miracle-Gro. All opinions are 100% mine.

This Florida girl has never really planted bulbs before. In Florida they either rot from too much water in the ground, or it doesn't get cold enough.  Needless to say, now that we are in Iowa I am facinated by Spring Bulb Flowers. The abondance of tullips, lillies and more makes me grin! So I decided I was going to try my hand at planting a spring bulb bed.

My first step was order some bulbs, and quality soil for the bulb bed. Of course I selected Miracle Gro Garden Soil for Flower & Vegetable Gardens. It is specially formulated for annuals, perennials, and bulbs.

Then it is all about timing! I found this great article that let's you know when you should plant Spring Bulbs depending on where you live. You normally wouldn't think of spring bulbs as part of Fall gardening but it is! I think bulbs are a great way to Find beauty in the Fall! It gives you something to look forward to in the spring!

Once my bulbs start to sprout in the spring I will be fertilizing them with Miracle Gro Liquafeed to help keep them nourished for the brightest colors and the most blooms. I cant wait to see my see of tulips, lillies, and daffodills!
