I very rarely parallel park and when I do, I try to make sure no one is around!! It takes me forever! lol
I hate parallel parking. I learned it well enough to pass that part of my driving exam a long time ago (altho I missed a few points because I forgot to use my turn signal!), but ever since have refused to do it. I’d rather walk a few extra blocks than have to deal with parallel parking!!
Honestly, I avoid parallel parking at all costs. But, I do have an embarrassing parking story. I think it was the day I got my license. I went to 7-11, which was just down the street from my house. I was trying to pull out of my parking spot, but realized I kept getting closer and closer to the car next to me. The people were in the car and I had no idea what to do. Thankfully, they were super nice and told me to turn the steering wheel the other way! I was so embarrassed, I felt like I didn’t even deserve to have a license!
Really I am a great parallel parking–had to do it all through college. I guess the most embarrassing time was half way parking cause I HAD to go.
I agree with others I hate parallel parking too sometimes especially when I have to back in instead of pull in. I so missed the curb and ended up on the side walk once. Glad I’m so much better at it now LOL!
