Target recently announced that it will be Price Matching like never before this holiday season. They will officially match online retailers like amazon, walmart, and more. You can see all the details about Target’s Holiday Price Match Policy here.
Now there is a new article that leads us to believe that Target will not be participating in the largest marketing scheme ever. Is Target going to sit out this Black Friday?
“We’re not interested in driving sales for the sake of sales, [so] you might see us lag competitors in terms of comp-store sales increases,” said John Mulligan, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Target, during Goldman Sachs’ Global Retailing Conference on Wednesday.
Do you think they will do it? Do you think Target will sit out Black Friday? Or do you think this is a ploy to gain attention before the busiest shopping season of the year?
