There is still time for another summer adventure! There are so many options for theme parks, zoos, and water parks, but how about all of them in one?! Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Georgia is just that! With an adventure for every family member, Wild Adventures is a theme, water and animal park rolled into one. The size of 155 football fields, it is the area’s number one attraction. HOLY COW, it is HUGE! I am actually planning a family trip soon, so stay tuned for pictures and an update. We are planners by nature, so we have been checking out all the details. Check out this amazing list of things to do!
The park highlights:
- 40 thrill rides, including seven coasters
- New for 2013: TailSpin, thrill ride
- Cheetah, wooden roller coaster
- Boomerang, steel roller coaster
- Viking Voyage, family coaster
- Hundreds of animals
- 50+ species
- Zebras, lions, tigers, giraffes, alligators, elephant
- 17 acre Splash Island Water Park
- More than a million gallons of fun
- 15 attractions, including Hakini Rapids and Kona Cliffs
- 14 VIP cabanas and 12 loungers available for daily rentals
- 170 acres
It really looks like there is something for everyone. My son is an “animal expert” so he is so excited to go and see the large collection of animals. I have one daughter who is ready to tear up the roller coasters with her daddy, and another who is ready to hit the water park and the cabanas with me.
Of course, the inner-pennypincher in me noticed that as soon as I logged onto WildAdventures.com they have special offers on tickets, meals, and more. They have a park map, local hotel recommendations, and more. You can even go ahead and purchase your tickets online. It will be so much fun to hit up a new theme park that isn’t in Orlando. The kids will get to see a new area and explore a new adventure.
A must have for my family and many others, there is an online allergen guide. You can print a list of the foods that are safe to eat throughout the park for your specific allergy. It is so nice to actually have options when vacationing.
