Happy Family asked me to do a sponsored post about Funny Feeding Stories and my kids. HA. Which one do you want? Feeding my kids has always been an adventure. From when they were babies, to even now as big kids it has been a three ring circus. Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and one that just wants to eat everything in sight. My goal is to feed them healthy delicious food. Although I have one who begs to differ with me.
My son, along with being gluten free, is also very picky. Feeding him has been so challenging. I would love it if he would willingly eat fruits and vegetables but that just doesn’t happen. One night I was making dinner and I put the potatoes in my kitchen aid mixer to whip them into mashed potatoes. I put the mixing bowl on the center of the kitchen table and went to get the other plates. My son was 2 at the time and climbed onto the dinner table sticking his hand into the mixing bowl. He thought it was cake batter or icing, because that is typically what is in the mixer. I waited for him to make a face or spit it out. But instead I got a “YUM!” and he stuck his hand right back in. OK then. Who would have thought that just putting mashed potatoes in the mixer bowl would make them taste better to that little guy. LOL
That little guy is now almost 9! He still hates fruits and vegetables but I sneak them in with smoothies, vegetable juice, and I may or may not be guilty of sneaking them in baked goods! 🙂
