It has officially been 1 year since I quit drinking soda of any kind! I had it bad! I loved my daily Coke Zero, Diet Dr Pepper, you name it. If I didn’t have one by noon I would get antsy, and even make a special trip to the store for them. I feel amazing since I quit, but it was a hard road. That is why I jumped on the chance to share this sponsored post with you!
Did you know that 40% of Americans drink less than half of the recommended amount of water daily, and approximately one fourth of children don’t drink any water on any given day. When you drink just one more glass of water you are keeping your body hydrated and giving it the energy it needs. So many store bought beverages have nasty ingredients and side effects. Water is the healthiest beverage you can put into your body, why don’t people drink it more often?
I personally have been limiting all other beverages in my house. My kids used to drink juice as fast as I brought it in. Now they are limited to 1 glass a day, but as many cups of water as they want. We also recently got a Brita filter to keep up with demand because those individual bottles get expensive.
Brita has a new campaign that is taking a direct stand against sugary beverages, including soda, sports drinks and juices, for better health. Because after all, “nothing is better” than clean, clear, refreshing water. Brita is proud to support efforts to encourage all Americans to drink more water, more often. Water is the original energy drink that has health benefits ranging from boosting brain power to helping power your muscles. Check out this video below.
I love Brita filters! Brita products transform ordinary tap water into healthier, great-tasting water. Brita filters are designed to reduce the common impurity Chlorine, found in tap water. A tall glass of water can help you feel better and stay healthier. Use Brita filtered water for cooking, coffee, tea, plants and even for your thirsty pets! The water tastes so much cleaner after it has been through a Brita filter! I love adding a little fresh lemon juice to mine for added flavor. YUM!
Like I said before, the individual bottles of spring water were breaking the bank at my house. Over the course of a year, the average Brita pitcher filters 240 gallons of water – or about the same as 1800 standard 16.9-ounce plastic bottles. And one filter can replace 300 bottles of water and save over $600 a year. That is a ton of money!
On top of making my water taste AMAZING and saving me money, Brita has formed partnerships. Brita is an official supporter of Drink Up, the effort from the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) and its honorary chairperson, Michelle Obama, to get people to drink more water, more often. To support Drink Up, Brita worked with actress and activist Eva Longoria to design a limited-edition Brita on-the-go filtering bottle (available now on Amazon). Brita has also partnered with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation (AHG) to drive awareness of the dangers of sugary beverages and combat childhood obesity.
