If you have been to Disney at least once you have heard of the famous Dole Whip! It is only available at Disney Land, Disney World, the Dole Plantation in Hawaii, and a couple of other places around the US (now that it is gaining popularity). It is basically a soft serve pineapple frozen dessert. My favorite part, it’s dairy free! That means my daughter can enjoy a cold treat right along with us.

I may have just started a massive run on frozen pineapple though. Once you discover how easy these are to make….there is no turning back! You have been warned!

Ok, you will need Frozen Pineapple Chunks, and your choice of liquid. I went with almond milk because that is what I had on hand. You can use coconut milk (AMAZING!), pineapple juice (again AMAZING), regular milk (of course not dairy free), etc.

Then get out your blender and go to town. It will take a minute for it all to become smooth.

Homemade Dole Whip
Prep time
Total time
  • 2 cups frozen pineapple
  • ¼ cup milk of choice or pineapple juice
  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth in blender. Scoop out with an ice cream scoop, or squeeze through a pastry bag, yonanas machine, or a plastic bag with an edge cut off for soft serve look.
  2. For soft-serve that holds its shape longer, freeze the swirled dole whip at least 20 minutes prior to serving.

I tried to get a picture to do this justice. The Florida sun + frozen treat = started to melt before I had a chance to take a picture. You will have to trust me that this is FANTASTICALLY AMAZING!
