My house has been taken over by an army of tiny people that I created. The worst part is that they are getting bigger, older, and more independent. The amount of food that they can consume is mind-boggling. And snack time…..we may as well not just even set aside a time for snacks…the kitchen is open 24/7. One thing that they all love is Chocolate Milk.
Since we are a dairy free house (for the most part), we don’t buy a lot of store bought milk mixins. They usually contain milk, chemicals, and all sort of things that I just don’t want. When it comes to chocolate milk we use this Homemade Chocolate Syrup or THIS yummy simple Homemade Nesquick. It’ so easy, and cheap to make.
- ⅓ Cup Cocoa Powder
- ⅔ Cup Powdered Sugar
- dash of salt
- Container or Pint Jar ( for storage)
- Whisk together the ingredients and store in a jar or other air tight container.
- Mix in 2 tbsp of mix for each cup of milk. Add more or less for desired taste. It will mix in a little bit better if you add the nesquick to 2 tbsp of milk, stir well. Then mix in the rest of the milk.
