Birthdays…those darn things come every year. My kids think they need….
Wait for it…
It’s a crazy concept, but every year like clock work they get exactly what they want. As they get older, and I get wiser I have learned a few tricks. The most fascinating gifts aren’t the ones that cost a fortune. They are the ones that cost $0.99 but kept their attention the longest because they are exactly what they love.
My youngest just turned 7 and she loves crafting. Not serious crafting, but you give that kids some tape, glue, construction paper and markers and she will create something that (in her eyes) is nothing short of a Picasso.
So my older kids and I took a trip to the dollar store and found the cutest purple bucket and a ton of stuff to fill it with. We got stickers, glitter glue, construction paper, pom poms, googly eyes, you name it. By the time I was done it was under $15 and we had a HUGE bucket full of stuff.
Now while she would have loved her bucket of goodies just the same either way we decided to fancy it up.
You can snag these buckets in any color you can imagine and turn them into …
- Art Buckets
- Beauty Bucket
- Lego Buckets
- Video Game Buckets
- Easter Buckets
- You name it buckets
Really the skies the limit.
