I get asked all the time, “What is the best browser to use?” I personally use Firefox all of the time.  I have Internet Explorer on my computer, so I can see the blog the way many of you do…that is the only reason.

I seriously can’t stand to use Internet Explorer.  Firefox makes browsing the internet so much easier.  It allows you to view your favorite sites the way they were designed.  It always amazes me to see the difference in graphics and site layouts between the two.

So, if you are on the computer a lot, or just want to try a new (better) internet experience you should download Firefox and check it out. 

If you happened to see my post for a $5 Kingsford Charcoal coupon yesterday and printed it you weren’t alone.  I snagged that puppy up pretty quick. 

Then last night I was on facebook and got kinda angry when I saw this.

We apologize about the confusion for the earlier coupons. They were unsolicited and not covered by us.

Um Seriously? Are you kidding? The coupon was on coupons.com.  It was not a PDF, it did not come from a third party.   Coupons.com is one of the most reputable coupon companies to print coupons from.  I never think twice about promoting a coupon from them. Many other feel the same way and left comments on Kingsfords Facebook wall. After hours of angry customer comments… they released this statement:

Hello Kingsford fans! We’d like to clear up any confusion regarding coupons. So sorry it took us a while to get to the bottom of this mystery! Yesterday, a number of coupon offers were posted by third parties to our Facebook Wall. While we can’t verify the legitimacy of them all, we can confirm that the $5 Kingsford coupon from Coupons.com was legitimate and will be honored. Unfortunately, the link has now been taken down because all available coupons were downloaded.

I find this type of behavior very fishy.  I have feel like the clorox company has been a little shady lately.  Just last week they released a Brita Pitcher Rebate only to recall it two days later, telling everyone they were out of money for that campaign and wouldn’t be honoring the rebates.

In my opinion it seems like they are releasing high value deals to drum up business and when they realize it means free products to consumers they back track.  I will be very cautious before I post any more deals from the Clorox Company.

Well, I guess it was about time. For those of you who send a lot of letters or postcards, it’s time to stock up on stamps again. Effective this Sunday, January 22nd, the price of Stamps will increase from 44¢ to 45¢ per stamp.

Additionally, according to the U.S.P.S. website, the following changes will take place:

• 1¢ increase on postage for letters to 45¢
• 3¢ increase on postcards to 32¢
• 5¢ increase on letters to Canada or Mexico to 85¢
• 7¢ increase on letters to other international destinations to $1.05

Time to stock up on the cheaper postage.  Remember that forever stamps are good even when the price jumps! You can read the full press release here.

Many of you were concerned that your Step2 Umbrella Set would be cancelled. Here is an update from the JC Penney Facebook Page

“We apologize for the recent incorrect pricing issue for our step2 patio and shade play set. Due to the pricing error we had an over abundance of orders placed. We will be honoring the price of $15 with a limit of one per customer until our stock has been depleted. We will be contacting all customers to inform them of their order status.”

If you have not been receiving A Few Short Cuts updates on Facebook I think we may finally have a fix!  Facebook has finally decided to let us choose what we want to see …old school style. LOL

To do this, go to your Facebook wall and look for the “Sort” drop down menu at the top of your NewsFeed (pic above). This will allow you to see all posts, in the order they originally posted, on your wall. If you stick with the default “Highlighted Stories First”, then you will only see the posts Facebook thinks you want.

I selected Recent stories First last night and then this morning it was back to Highlighted.  So I would just check it for the next couple days to make sure it doesn’t get a mind of its own and change back.

That being said it works great and I can now see everything again in my feed.  WOO HOO!

• Must have a newer computer (basically you aren’t scared it is going to die)
• Must have around 3 hours a day you will be available deal finding (flexible)

• May work from anywhere in US

Facebook is at it again with lots of changes! I have a feeling it is only going to get worse. These changes will directly affect A Few Short Cuts fans on Facebook.  The way it is currently set up you may not be receiving all the deals, or they may be showing up out of order in your feed.

Here’s the steps to fix your newsfeed, so you can see what you want to see:

• First, scroll down your wall until you find a post from A Few Short Cuts(you can do this with your friends and other blogs you follow)
• Click the down arrow on the right corner of the post your find and select “Mark as Top Story” so you will see the latest + hottest deals posted on the A Few Short Cuts wall

There’s another feature Facebook added where you can group pages and people into certain categories, like on Google+.

Here’s how to do this:

• Go to your “Home” Screen and click on lists on left side of screen.
• Click “Create a List”
• Name your list, please note people will be notified when they are put on a list. You can make on called “Money Saving Blogs,” “Family, “Coworkers,” whatever you want.
• Now add your pages, friends, and subscriptions (these are people you aren’t friends with but you subscribe to their updates)
• Redo these steps for all your list, then go to your lists menu and “favorite” certain lists so that they show up under your “Favorites”.
• Click on your new list under “Favorites” or “Lists,” and you will see only updates from pages and people you added there.
