Hogwarts is home! Learn how to make your own DIY Harry Potter House Ornaments for Christmas with free printable!

Hogwarts is home, and we are a bunch of Harry Potter nerds around my house. We have made everything from Chocolate Frog Cupcakes (get the recipe here), to our own Floating Candles ( find out how we made them here). Now we have decided that we needed a Harry Potter Christmas Wreath, and made these fun DIY Harry Potter House Ornaments to add to it!

Fillable Glass or plastic Ball Ornaments
Green, Grey, Yellow, Red, Blue Shredded Tissue Paper
Free Harry Potter House Ornament Printable (below)
Scissors

Instructions

Cut out the Harry Potter House Printables. Roll them up and carefully slide the house crest into a fillable ball ornament. I used glass 1 ½ inch - 2 inch balls that I actually got on clearance last year after Christmas.

Fill the ornament the rest of the way with the corresponding house colors.

Gryffindor - Red/yellow
Hufflepuff - Yellow/Grey
Ravenclaw - Blue/grey
Slytherin - Green /Grey

Use a pencil to help you carefully stuff the ornament and keep your house crest facing the right direction.

Put the ornament topper back on and you are done. It is just that simple!

Uses

Our ornaments turned out perfectly. We are adding them to our Harry Potter Wreath along with these Golden Snitch Ornaments and these DIY Niffler Christmas Ornaments.

The kids are flipping out about how fun this entire wreath is, and I am loving how simple all of these ornaments were to make. Not only were they affordable, but these a crafts that anyone can handle at any ability. You don't have to be Martha Stewart to put these together.
