First Day of School Photo Tips
On the first day of school things can get a little crazy so here are some of my favorite tips to help you get the best first day of school photo.
- Try to get them in the same spot each year. It is fun to flip through the photos over the years and see your child next to the same tree, or the same front door as they grow. I know this isn't always possible, but if you can try it.
- Neutral Background - Try to choose a neutral background so your child is the focus of the photo. Things like a garden area, or in front of a brick wall near the school or your home make great backdrops.
- Multiple Pictures - Take multiple pictures. Let your child pick their pose, face, or stance for some to really show their personality.
- Print those pictures - We forget how important it is to print our pictures in this day of digital everything. Don't just share your photos on Facebook or Instagram, but print them and keep them in a keepsake box.
- Last Day of School Photos - Don't forget tot take a last day of school photo in the same spot to help document how much your child has grown throughout the school year.
