I am doing my best to keep my kids engaged in fun activities this Summer. I may also be trying to sneak a little bit of learning in too! When I can knock both of them out with one simple fix I am one happy Mama. That is why we decided to do this Tinker Crate Review!
What is Tinker Crate?
Tinker Crate comes from the makers of the Kiwi Crate. They are boxes that contain a STEM project for 9 – 16-year-olds that are delivered to your door either monthly or you can choose to order them one at a time.
What was in the Tinker Crate?
The Tinker Crate we received had a 3-D Viewer Project inside. It contained all of the parts (mirrors, wooden frame pieces, lenses, directions, and a Tinker Zine full of information on the topic as well as additional projects that we could do.
How Long Did it Take
My son (12) worked on this for about 30 minutes. It did come with a bonus project but that only took a few minutes to complete. He has enjoyed reading the magazine and learning more about 3D. The viewer that he created is so interesting all 3 kids have enjoyed playing with it and coming up with new pictures to put in it to make them 3D.
The Final Product
This 3D Viewer is made out of wood (not cardboard). It is very sturdy and like I said earlier, all 3 of my kids have really enjoyed playing with it. The view came with additional picture cards, and games you can play with it.
$10 off Your First Crate
After reading our Tinker Crate review if you are interested in snagging your own Tinker Crate you can use my link and get $10 off your first crate.
If your kids aren’t quite old enough for a Tinker Crate the same company also offers
The link will provide you with $10 off of those as well. My youngest daughter, Audrey, did the Kiwi Crate for a year when she was younger and she still talks about it! These are a great way to keep the kids engaged and off of electronics for a while.
