Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Treats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light corn syrup or agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies or other puffed rice cerealTopping
  • 1 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Peanut Butter

Instructions

  • Grease a 13x9 Pan. If you like thicker treats you can use a 9x9 pan.
  • Place corn syrup and sugar into 3-quart saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
  • Place rice krispies in a large bowl and pour peanut butter/sugar mix over them. Stirring until all of the rice krispies are coated.
  • Press mixture into greased pan and set aside.
  • In a small sauce pan melt chocolate and peanut butter together of low heat until it is smooth enough to spread over treats.
  • Use a spatula to spread evenly.
  • Top with sprinkles or other toppings while chocolate is still melted.
  • Let stand until firm. (Refrigerate for faster results)
  • Cut into 2 inch bars

Notes

**Gluten Free** Use Gluten Free Rice Krispies **Dairy Free** Use a dairy free chocolate chip (like ghirardelli)
