DSCN2537Yes...you read right.   CARAMEL APPLE PORK CHOPS!  Sounds too good to be true, huh?!  These babies are as delicious as they sound!

They are a perfect fall, fill you up meal! They are so good the kids love them, but they are fancy enough you could serve them for a dinner party!  A win win in my book.  Not to mention they are easy to make!

I served them with Mashed potatoes and Green beans.  You could serve them with rice if you prefer.  Or, even better, Sweet potato Casserole  ~drooling~.   🙂

Here is the recipe without further delay!  The meal deal will follow! Hope you guys have an awesome weekend!

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large skillet heat oil over medium heat.  Sprinkle pork chop with salt and pepper.  Cook for about 2 minutes on each side just to brown the pork chop.DSCN2503

Place pork chops in a large baking dish.DSCN2519

In the same skillet add butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.  Stir until combined.DSCN2506

Add apples to the skillet and cook until softened about 10 minutes.DSCN2507DSCN2515

Dump apple mixture over pork chops and place in oven for 30 minutes or until internal temp of pork is 160 degrees.DSCN2520

You may wish to add more sauce.  If so, you can make it with more brown sugar and butter in the skillet. DSCN2525

Serve with sauce and top with chopped pecans if desired.DSCN2537

    These are delicious!

We tried the Caramel Apple Pork Chops last night. I bought thinly sliced chops and they got a little overcooked. Next time, I'll reduce the cooking time. Pork chops are new for me....my husband was happy to see them on the table. They were yummy and I will definitely try this one again! Thanks 🙂

I made this for dinner tonight, substituted with chicken because I didn't have any pork chops on hand. SO good! Thanks for the recipe. I linked up to the recipe on my blog 🙂

Oh my gosh! These sound delicous. So now I will have to make these, the apple dumplings, and the granola some time this week! I can't wait! I love to cook, but it seems that I have been sticking to the same recipes over and over lately. I haven't done pork in forever! My husband is going to love this! Thank you!

Do you think this would work in a Crock Pot?
