10 Uses for lavender essential oil

I have recently discovered the amazing power of Essential oils. They have so many uses around the home and they are all natural! I love being able help my family be healthier and happier with something as simple as lavender! Here are the Top 10 Uses for Lavender Essential oil. Don’t let these pretty flowers fool you. They can do many more than just these 10 things!

Calming

Rub a drop of Lavender Essential oil on the feet for a calming effect on the body.

Bug Bites or Stings

Put a drop of Lavender Essential oil on a bee sting or insect bite to stop itching and reduce swelling.

Eczema

Mix 2-3 drops of Lavender essential oil with 1 -2 tbsp olive or coconut oil and use topically on eczema and dermatitis.

Scarring

Minimize scarring by massaging Lavender oil on affected areas.

D.I.Y. Moth Balls

Place a few drops of Lavender oil on a cotton ball and place in your linen closet to scent the linens and repel moths and insects. Plus…it makes your laundry smell good too!

Sunburn Relief

Spritz several drops of Lavender oil mixed with distilled water on a sunburn to decrease pain.

Allergies

Rub Lavender oil on the back of your neck, chest, and in between your eyes to alleviate sinuses, sinusitis, allergies.

D.I.Y. Dryer Sheets

Apply 1-2 drops of Lavender oil on a wet cloth and place in the dryer for an all natural dryer sheet.

Soothe Fussy Baby

Add a drop of Lavender Essential Oil to your babies bath, or baby lotion.  This will help sooth a fussy baby.

Ringworm Treatment

Place a drop or 2 of Lavender Essential Oil on the affected area daily until cleared.
