2 Ingredient Strawberry Ice Cream
A healthy ice cream option with only 2 ingredients! This Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe is vegan, gluten free, and simply DELICIOUS!
Right before we moved from Iowa I ran to the grocery store and hit the deal seekers jackpot.
I full bag of ripe ORGANIC bananas for $0.99! Now most people would think that they couldn’t use that many bananas at once. I knew exactly what to do with them. I typically use them for banana bread, banana muffins, Peanut Butter Banana Breakfast cookies, but this time….they were going for a new use.
I got a cute 12 year old helper and we sliced those bananas right up and put them on a single layer on a baking sheet. We popped them right in the freezer. I planned on using these for protein shakes, smoothies, and one more treat. My oldest daughter is allergic to milk so she misses out on ice cream. We have found another way for her to enjoy a cool creamy sweet treat. We made our own 2 Ingredient Strawberry Banana Ice Cream and their is no milk involved. She loved it! It was so much cheaper than the “Coconut Ice Cream” or ” Soy Ice Cream” at the grocery store and tasted much better. We have been experimenting with Chocolate and banana, peanut butter banana, and more now. We are hooked!
2 Ingredient Strawberry Banana Ice Cream

Ingredients
- 1-2 Cups Frozen Banana Pieces
- 1/2 Cup Strawberries
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor place the frozen bananas and strawberries. Blend until bananas and strawberries are creamy. May take a few minutes. It also may be necessary to add a little liquid to get them moving. We added a small amount of Almond Milk (just a couple teaspoons).
- You can experiment and add a couple tablespoons of peanut butter instead of strawberries, other types of fruit and more.
- I don't recommend in making more than you are going to eat in one sitting.
Thank you for posting! I too have a dairy free daughter and am always looking for new ideas.
