It is a popular choice when it comes to houseplants because not only is it easy to keep alive because of it’s low need for water, but it gives off an abundance of oxygen and helps clean the air.  The uses for aloe vera don’t end there. Healing Skin

Aloe Vera has been a go-to remedy to soothe sunburns for a long time, but did you know it can treat other skin ailments as well.  Place the aloe gel on your skin to help treat psoriasis, rashes, eczema, and other skin conditions. The gel will nourish, moisturize, and soothe your skin so it heals faster.

Stomach Relief

Among its many uses, you can drink the Aloe Vera Juice to settle your stomach! Aloe Vera is great for relieving heartburn, indigestion, and creating regularity. Just mix a tablespoon of Aloe Vera Juice with some water and drink. There are many other benefits to drinking 1 tbsp of aloe gel a day. Some are listed below.

Face Wash

You can use your Aloe Vera as a face wash. There are many recipes online to make your own face wash with Aloe, but I really like this one. The aloe vera naturally helps reduce redness, removes bacteria, and moisturizes your skin without being harsh. PERFECT!

Shaving Cream

Aloe has a ton of amazing benefits for your skin, so it isn’t surprising that it makes a perfect shaving cream! Again, there are many recipes available online, but one of the simplest is to just combine 1 part coconut oil with 3 parts aloe vera gel and a drop of your favorite essential oil (I recommend lavender). Stir and combine in an air-tight container until ready to use.  This aloe shave gel will leave your skin silky soft and free of razor burn.

Hair Strengthener

Does your hair break easily? Add some aloe vera to your conditioner and watch the results. The Aloe Vera will help strengthen your hair, preventing breakage. It will also add shine. You can even take 1 tbsp of aloe and massage it into your scalp to prevent dandruff and encourage hair growth.

Soothe Insect Bites

Just like Aloe Vera soothes sunburns it can soothe insect bites too! Apply a little bit of Aloe Vera gel to your bite. If you want even faster relief, add a drop of Lavender essential oil. That bite will be relieved in no time.

Boost Immune System

Aloe is sometimes known as the miracle plant. It has an abundance of vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and amino acids. Components of Aloe Vera stimulates the immune system and kill infections. Zinc is also an important component in aloe vera making it a great source to combat zinc deficiency because it’s essential to maintain immune function. Just taking 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel a day can really fight off that cold and flu season.

Anti-Inflammatory

All of the amazing things that Aloe does it is also a fantastic anti-inflammatory. You can drink 1 tbsp a day with water or juice for its internal effects or you can mix 1 tsp of turmeric with 1 tbsp of aloe gel and rub it on like a cream. This is great for knees or elbows that tend to get achy with exercise.
