Easy Apartment Decorating Ideas that Won’t Break the Bank
Moving into an apartment is exciting. Make the space you own with these Easy Apartment Decorating Ideas that Won’t Break the Bank!
There are many great reasons to live in an apartment. There is no worrying about mowing the lawn. If something breaks or needs replaced, the hefty sum is not your responsibility. Unfortunately, there is always a downside to things. In this case, the downside is how boring apartments look. Everyone knows that white walls are so plain. Well, it is time to change it up a bit, and you do not even have to blow your budget in doing so. Here are some great, yet affordable decorating tips to spruce up any apartment.
Easy Apartment Decorating Ideas that Won’t Break the Bank
Add Some Color
Some places do not allow you to paint walls. If you are fortunate enough to do so, be sure to choose light shades that will be easy to return to white again when you are ready to move. Create an accent wall with a beautiful color to brighten the place up. If you are not allowed to paint, then add color by painting some of your furniture. Instead of naturally stained woods, choose a color that will pop and make your wood pieces stick out.
Dress Up Your Windows
Apartments always have the same white blinds on the windows and sliding door. While you may not be able to do much with them, you can at least hide them by purchasing curtains, to cover them up. Check out the clearance aisle, or watch for sales, as window treatments can get pricey. If you are a crafty person, you can save even more by making your curtains. Ikea is one of my favorite places to shop for affordable decor.
Throw Pillows
Throw pillows on your couch can add some color to the room. There are a variety of shapes, prints, and colors that you can choose from when it comes to pillows. You can even create your own if you decide to get crafty. The fun thing about throw pillows is that they do not have to match!
Build Custom Shelves
With the way the world works now, you can quickly learn how to build some custom shelves. Shelves work great in an apartment. Custom shelves are perfect for storage and for making your apartment look more classy and put together than it did before! Plus, who doesn’t need shelves in their home? If you can make these custom shelves yourself, you will be saving a lot of money.
Wall Art
Adding little touches like some wall art can personalize a space. Whether you decide to hang up photographs, or paintings, pick something that makes you happy. Choose art that sets the mood you are looking for and helps define your apartment space as your own. Try taking the pictures yourself, or making your art to save on cost.
Making your apartment look good on a budget, doesn’t have to be boring. Painting an accent wall, building shelves, or adding a few throw pillows are all great apartment decorating ideas. How do you plan on decorating your apartment on a budget?
