Bottle Cap + Plastic Bag= Amazing
This post has lived on my blog for over 6 years and all of the sudden I noticed a bunch of people checking it out. I would like to say HELLO! I hope you stick around a while and see all of the yummy recipes and things we have to offer here at AFewShortCuts.com. I am so glad you stopped by!
My mom shared this tip with me a long time ago and I use it all of the time! It is a nifty way to secure a bag.
You will need…
- a plastic non zip sandwich bag ( you know the fold over ones) or a plastic grocery bag. This will work with any type of plastic sheet.
- 1 Plastic water bottle with screw on lid, or 2 liter bottle.
- scissors
- whatever you want to put inside.
Directions
Cut the top of off one plastic bottle and It will look like this.
Take one of those plastic non zip sandwich bags, or do like I did an cut a corner off of a plastic grocery bag. Place what you want to contain in the middle. For example purposes we chose cookies.
Feed the plastic through the bottle top like so… and screw the cap on.
You will end up with the coolest, repurposed lunch containers in the world! The possibilities are endless! I can already think of a ton of uses for this nifty idea!
What would you do with it?
OMG!! that is an adorable Idea!! :O)
I love this! How creative!!
This is neat. I’ve got a seven month old so we aren’t far from finger foods and I think this would be excellend to toss in his diaper bag.
Huh! I’m guessing you’d have to have a pretty small sandwich to fit in there…Or am I missing something?
Jennifer you can use any size bag. The cap just seals the bag so it doesn’t spill. It is just a creative way to close a bag.
I showed it with cookies because that is what I had in front of me. You could fill it with popcorn, or sandwich, or anything. It would just depend on the size of the plastic bag you use. The cap, just holds it shut.
I have used this idea/tip and it works wonderfully. I had just a few chocolate chips left over, left them in the package and followed the same technique with the bottle top and cap. It has kept them fresh too.
