Chalkboard Flower Pot Decor
I love decorating my house for Fall! The smells of cinnamon, the burlap, the pumpkins. They all bring together such a feeling of homeyness and comfort. I have this pile of stuff that is in my office that I have collected because I have these great intentions of crafting with them. This weekend I finally put some of them to work and made these beautiful Chalkboard Flower Pots to help decorate my house with for Fall.
You will need
- Clay Flower Pots
- Chalkboard Spray Paint
- Chalk
- or White Vinyl & Vinyl Cutter (like silhouette or circuit)
I carried my pots outside and spray painted them with chalkboard paint. You can really do them any color you choose. I just love the chalkboard look.
After my pots dried completely I brought them inside. I had intended on using chalk to right on the pots, but my handwriting isn’t the best. I love my Silhouette Portrait Vinyl Cutter. I just typed up the words “Faith, Hope & Love” using the Free font “sverige Script Decorated Demo“. You can download it and use it also. Then I cut them out on white outdoor vinyl.
I used transfer paper and transferred the vinyl onto my pots. I chose the outdoor vinyl so they would be more sturdy incase I ever chose to use these with plants inside.
I am in love with how these turned out! I am actually thinking about making a couple more sets for gifts!
