With three kids, hubby, and a dog there is always a running list on the side of the fridge with what we need from the store. It is the dreaded to-do that is full of what we need for the week and where I have to stop to get it. I could dedicate an entire day of the week just for running errands. However, I would much rather spend time with my family. I have a few tricks on how to cut errand running time in half!
How to Cut Errand Running Time in Half
The first step is planning. That list on the fridge is key to figuring out what you need. Make a checklist of all the places you need to stop, or what you need to get. I love to use this “A Latte To-Do” List while I am drinking my coffee in the morning. Making a list will help you devise a plan for getting it done efficiently!
Now that you have a plan, it is time to see which of those items you can snag in bulk and stock up on to eliminate another trip next week. For example; If you see the same trip to get dog food recurring every week, maybe grab twice as much this week so you can eliminate it from next week’s list! Stocking up on what you use most just makes sense. Planning a stock-up schedule is one way to cut errand running time in half or even more!
Map it Out
Stop running back and forth all over town. Map out where all of your stops are and if the dry cleaner is next to your daughter’s dance lessons, drop off your dry cleaning on your way to dance. Doing this eliminates the need for a special trip, plus you are saving time and gas too!
One Stop Shop
You need groceries for the family, your daughter needs new soccer cleats, and you have to swing by the pet store to get your dog’s Nature’s Recipe Dog Food, and stop at the drugstore for allergy medicine. Why not eliminate the need for multiple stops and do a one stop shop at Walmart? This step alone can cut errand running time in half just by shopping for everything in one place. No more loading the kids in and out of the car just to grab one or two things.
I can’t tell you how excited I was to find out that Walmart now carries Nature’s Recipe Dog Food! Our dog, Pudge, is like one of the kids. Being an active member of our family, we want to feed him the best! Nature’s Recipe has no corn or wheat. There are no artificial flavors or preservatives, and no poultry by-product meal. It’s just high-quality protein for the four-legged member of our family to bring out his best! Recipes crafted to bring out their best.
I was going to the pet store once a month to buy Nature’s Recipe Dog Food because it was the only place I could find it. I can’t tell you how happy I am now that Walmart is now carrying it! His personal favorite is the Nature’s Recipe Grain Free Salmon, Sweet Potato, and Pumpkin. I also grab a couple of cans of Nature’s Recipe Grain Free Chicken & Turkey Stew for a special treat a couple of times a week. There isn’t a clean bowl in the house. Nature’s Recipe makes purposeful recipes with ingredients from nature to provide exactly what your dog needs to feel like his most vibrant self, each and every day! The extra bonus is Walmart’s everyday low prices make this a little more affordable than the pet store too!
Pudge is an active basset hound. Sounds like an oxymoron, but it is true. He loves to run and play fetch with the kids all day long. Nature’s Recipe nurtures him and helps him live his life to the fullest every day!
