Easy Kids Craft: Flower Pot Bunnies
The kids and I love to get our hands dirty with a good craft project, but I love it when they are easy enough for the kids to take over themselves. These Easy Flower Pot Bunnies turned out ADORABLE. They will make their appearance year after year with our Easter decorations.
You will need
- Small Flower Pots (Dollar store)
- Paint
- Cotton balls
- Pipe Cleaners
- Googly Eyes
- Scrapbook paper
- Glue (hot glue gun works best)
First we set up our painting stations. Paper plate work wonders to keep the paint off of the table. Then I just cut a kitchen sponge into thirds. 3 kids…plus disposable painting gear = priceless!
I then let them pick their colors and away they went painting their pots. We used acrylic paints and they dried within 10 minutes! Love how fast they dried!
Then we cut the scrapbook paper (kids choice) to look like bunny ears and 2 half circles for the feet. We then hot glued 1 pipe cleaner around each ear for stability.
Once we had all of our pieces we started assembling. The pipe cleaners around the ears fit perfectly into the hole on the bottom of the pot. I added a little hot glue to make sure they don’t pop out.
We the glued on the eyes, a little cotton for the nose and tail. Then we hot glued the legs, which are again, just pipe cleaners with the scrapbook paper feet glued to them.
Finally we used the sharpie to draw on eyebrows, whiskers, mustaches, freckles, whatever floats their boat.
aren’t these just too cute!
