Free Sherlock Holmes Shirt Cut File – Just Deduce It
My kids are all readers, and I am so grateful! They each have their own favorite genre of books that they love, but they always have their nose in one. Gracie, my oldest, has been reading the Sherlock Holmes books this Summer. Thank you Kindle Unlimited! 😉 She is really into them, and found a shirt that she “had to have”. So I decided to make it myself, and offer the Silhouette cut file to you incase you are or know another Sherlock Holmes fan.
I found the black t-shirt at walmart on clearance for $1 (score!) and bought the white heat transfer vinyl. You can see the full process on how exactly to make your own custom shirts here. I have made them for the kids before and they are so much fun.
Just use your Silhouette to cut out the design, weed it, and iron it on. My tips are as follows.
- Place twice, iron once. Make sure the design is exactly where you want it before you iron.
- Double check to make sure your iron has the steam turned off. VERY VERY important.
- Put a cloth over the design when you iron. Iron it for a good 20 -30 seconds. Then peel the plastic carefully off the design. Recover with the cloth and iron again for at least another 10 seconds.
- Do not wash for 24 hours. Longer if possible. The longer the design can adhere to the fabric the better.
Didn’t it turn out so cute?!
