The Littlest Bigfoot Series by Jennifer Weiner
Books are one of our most inexhaustible sources of magic and power. That is why this series makes such a great gift for any 8-12-year-old girl! The Littlest Bigfoot series is written by Jennifer Weiner and now includes two books: The Littlest Bigfoot and the newly released Little Bigfoot, Big City. There is a final book in the series that will be out in 2018. This series is geared toward middle-grade girls.
Jennifer Weiner is a best-selling author of more than just children’s books. She wrote All Fall Down, Who Do You Love, and many more that you just might have on your own bookshelf. I’m thrilled that she’s now writing for younger girls too! These books explore important topics that our tweens face: self-love, positive body image, and friendship between girls.
The Littlest Bigfoot
The Littlest Bigfoot is the first book in the trilogy and it’s an amazing read. My daughter started reading it last week and hasn’t put it down. The Littlest Bigfoot is a tale of friendship, furry creatures, and finding the place where you belong. Alice is a 12-year-old girl longing to find her place in the world and a friend. She saves Millie, a Bigfoot, from drowning in the lake one night and in turn gains herself a friend whose secret she swears to keep. This is a heartwarming story of kindness and friendship.

In this sequel, Alice discovers she may not be human after all! Alice and Millie set out to find out who or what she is. Along the way, they meet up with a boy named Jeremy who is out to discover more about Bigfoots. The unlikely threesome journey to discover clues and meet both allies and enemies in this exciting adventure.
