Star Wars is all I hear about from a certain little boy. Especially with the news of a new Star Wars movie coming out soon all we talk about is Star Wars.   So to get a little Summer Fun in (boy style) we made these Homemade Light Sabers.

I really wish I hadn't waited so long to make these things. They are the best thing EVER! They cost me only a couple dollars to make. All the supplies were bought at the dollar store. The kids can play outside or in the house with them. They can't really hurt anything with them. The best thing is....they can take out their frustrations with each other and no one gets hurt! BEST TOY EVER!

    You Will Need

    • Pool Noodles
    • Duct Tape
    • Electrical Tape

Like I said I found all of the above at the Dollar Tree.

Cut the pool noodles in half. This can easily be done with a steak knife or scissors.

Take the duct tape and wrap it around one end of the pool noodle. I did that about 3 times.

Then take the electrical tape and wrap it around to decorate it. I cut a few small pieces and applied them to look like buttons.

And fun was had by all! Then my son came up with the most genius idea. In the new Star Wars movies, there is a double ended light saber. Could I make one? Well, yeah!

This time I left the Pool Noodle whole. I just wrapped the tape around the center. Basically the same concept, you just end up with a bigger noodle.
