Summer is like Christmas for me in the food department. There are fresh ingredients with bright and exciting flavors everywhere! There are no fancy cooking skills needed. I just feel like a mad scientist mixing together the right fresh ingredients until my taste buds dance. They are really boogieing tonight!
My family and I like to snack! Dips are a weakness, but not always the healthiest option. I came up with this Skinny Creamy Avocado Dip that will knock your socks off! Not only is it great with tortilla chips, but you could use it as a sauce for chicken wraps and more! My husband almost fell over when I told him I made it with yogurt. Keep in mind….it was half gone when I told him. This is the perfect snack for a hot day!
- 1 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 Hass Avocado (mashed)
- Juice of 1/2 Lime
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Cilantro
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- In a bowl stir together yogurt, mashed avocado, and lime until mixed well. Stir in fresh cilantro and garlic salt.
- Add salt and pepper to taste if needed.
- Serve as a dip or dressing.
