The Smurfs are coming back to theaters with “Smurfs: The Lost Village” on April 7, 2017, and my daughter is excited to head out for a family fun day to go see it. I thought it would make our adventure even more exciting to create a bit of fun. In honor of our girls’ day out we created these fantastic Bite-Sized Smurf Hut Snacks.
While we were shopping the other day, we spotted Entenmann’s® Little Bites® Smurf Blueberry Muffins, which are the perfect Smurf-approved baked snacks. These moist, delicious muffins are made with real blueberries, contain no high fructose corn syrup, no trans-fat and are certified Kosher. At less than 200 calories per pouch, Entenmann’s® Little Bites® are the perfect family snack to enjoy at home or on-the-go. These are such a great grab and go snack! They fly out of my pantry. I had to hide the box I wanted to make these Bite Sized Smurf Hut Snacks with.
We gathered our ingredients for these special snacks. All you need is Entenmann’s® Little Bites® Smurf Blueberry Muffins, stick pretzels, strawberries, white chocolate, and sliced almonds.
**NUT FREE** If you are nut free or you are making these for someone who is you can eliminate the almond doors or replace them with a raisin or a chocolate chip.
Wash and cut the top off of your strawberry. Look for ones that are the perfect size and cone shape for the roof of your Smurf hut. We are making the Lost Village after all. 🙂
We melted our white chocolate according to the package and used the pretzel sticks as little paint brushes. Then we dipped the pretzels into the white chocolate and then applied to each strawberry to make the little white dots on the roof.
We also dipped the almond slice into the chocolate and then stuck it on the front of the Little Bites for the door. Finally, we pushed the pretzel down through the top of the strawberry to hold the strawberry on top of the muffin. It also makes a perfect chimney.
Our Smurfs Lost Village couldn’t have turned out any cuter! These are just perfect for a party or movie night snack! We plan on making them again just for fun!
She is no Gargamel, but she had as much fun eating the village as she did creating it!
