The kids and I ran into Michaels the other day and it was full of fun Halloween Decor. They love to decorate the house for the holidays but I hate spending a ton of money on decorative items. It is so much more fun when we can make memories and get crafty together. These DIY Halloween Apothecary Jars are a great example of some fun holiday decor that can be made for pennies.

You Will Need

• Empty Jars with lids (think old candle jars, pickle jars, etc)
• Printable Apothecary Labels (available below)
• Stuff to Fill the jars (get creative & hit the dollar tree)

How to

I may not have bought a bunch of decor but you can bet that I did pick up some $3 jar candles at Michaels. When they were burnt down I put the jars in boiling water to melt the rest of the candle wax out. The jars are perfect for these Apothecary Jars. You can also use old pickle jars. Just paint the lids black with some acrylic paint.

We decided we liked the candle jars the best because they had a bit of black soot on them from the candles burning inside. This added to their spookiness.
