I have used this trick many times since I first heard about it. The first step is to find out exactly how much money your remaining balance is on your cards. You can usually do this by calling the number on the back of the card or visiting the listed website and looking up your card number. Once you have the amount or amounts written down, click over to Amazon.com and get ready to spend that card. 

Once on Amazon go to purchase an e-gift card for the exact amount left on your card. Proceed through the checkout and pay with your Visa Gift Card (or MasterCard). 

Check your email and your gift card should be there shortly. Apply it to your account. Continue to do this with all of the Visa Gift Cards you have on hand with a small balance. 

Once they are on your Amazon account you can use them for anything from books to band-aids. It’s totally up to you how you spend them. I have used mine to put a dent in the cost of my Amazon Prime Membership. It is just nice to know how to spend every penny on a Visa Gift Card and not let it go to waste!

Like I said this works with all of the pre-paid debit gift cards, not just Visa. Give it a try! Don’t let your gift cards sit too long because some of them can charge a small monthly fee. Before you know it your balance could be gone!
