I love having candles and other smelly things in my house! They can get very pricey though. I started with Organic Beeswax, which you can purchase from Amazon.  You can also reuse the wax from previously purchased candles or wax melts.  Yes, you can re-use it!

I chose the Beeswax because it is 100% natural (if the kids or dogs get a hold of it). Plus, beeswax, being nature’s wax, emits wonderful air-cleaning, depression-reducing ions that combat things like dust, odors, mold and even viruses while elevating the mood! Seriously! My son suffers from horrible seasonal allergies, so we have begun switching our candles and wax melts to beeswax…it can’t hurt!

Since we are in the middle of allergy season, I chose to mix up 3 essential oils that are proven to help with seasonal allergies (And smell great too!) Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint. I love that it only takes a couple drops to get a great smell and there are 250 drops in each bottle. They really go a long way!

You then pour the melted wax into an ice cube tray or reuse a “Scentsy style” container.  I didn’t have either handy because we just moved, so I used this egg-shaped mold. Don’t laugh…it worked perfectly!

I then popped the pan into the freezer for a few minutes and they were all set up! I just popped them right out of the pan and placed then in the warmers. The rest went into an airtight container for another day.

  1. Works perfectly! Thanks for a genius idea! I used a non stick cookie mold pan that was in my garage sale pile…to go. Looks like I will be keeping the pan for future use.
