Loews Royal Pacific Resort – The Best Place to Stay at Universal Orlando
Looking for the best place to stay ant Universal Orlando Resort? Loews Royal Pacific Resort is at the top of my list for so many reasons.
We love Universal Orlando Resort. As a theme park, it is one of our all time favorites! Since we have Annual Passes we love to go whenever we have the chance, but for special occasions like birthdays, etc we try to stay on property. There are so many perks to staying on property, and Loews Royal Pacific Resort is always our first choice. It is the BEST place to stay at Universal Orlando!
Universal Orlando has several on-site hotels and they are all amazing. We have even stayed at the Cabana Bay and loved it too! There is just something about the Royal Pacific that goes above and beyond. Check out all it has to offer and you will see why we love it so much!
Loews Royal Pacific Resort
The Royal Pacific is a Polynesian themed resort nestled close to both Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure. From the minute you walk in you are greeted with a great Polynesian themed resort, complete with leis at checkin.
We typically choose a two queen room. They allow a roll out bed so it works for our family of 5. The room isn’t large but it is beautiful! We are spending most of our time in the parks, and around the resort anyway.
The room does come equip with a mini fridge, Keurig style coffee maker and desk.
Even if you are going to stick with a double queen room like we do, try to get a water view or pool view room. It’s gorgeous!
The Royal Pacific does offer larger family suites, and bigger rooms in general, but they tend to be more expensive. For a fun, quick trip to celebrate a regular room is perfect for us.
Loews Royal Pacific Amenities
When you are staying at a theme park amenities are just the icing on the cake! Check out this list of fabulous amenities that the Royal Pacific has to offer.
Lagoon Style Pool with Beach – Not only is the pool fun by itself, but they offer great poolside activities like hola hoop contests, arts & crafts, and swim up movies.
Complimentary Fitness Center – Need I say more? Not that you will need it with all the walking in the parks.
Torch Lighting Ceremony – Gather by the pool on select evenings (weather permitting) for the torch lighting ceremony featuring the “oli aloha” welcoming chant, a fire dancer and more.
Room Charging Privileges – Heading to the parks? Add room charging privileges to your room key and make purchasing simple while you are in the parks.
Package Delivery – Don’t want to carry your packages? Have your purchases sent right to your room so you don’t have to carry a thing!
Pet Friendly – I almost forgot, the Royal Pacific does have pet friendly rooms. We have never taken our pets with us, but it is great to know it is an option! There are even pet friendly items on the room service menu!
Universal Orlando Bonuses
This is my favorite part! Since the Royal Pacific is on Universal Resort Property you get some fantastic perks! It is one of the few on site properties to offer Unlimited Express Passes during your stay.
Unlimited Express Pass – Guest Receive complimentary Unlimited Express Passes to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure (HUGE PERK) That means no waiting in lines from the day you check in to the day you check out! Just show your express pass at the front of the ride and you will be directed to a MUCH shorter line to enjoy your ride. (There are some ride exclusions.)
Transportation – Park your car and you don’t have to drive again until you leave. It is just a quick Boat Ride or short walk to City Walk and Parks!
Early Park Admission – Guests get Early Park Admission to either Universal Orlando or Islands of Adventure depending on the availability that day. This is a great way to enter the park while it is practically empty and enjoy the Wizarding World and other attractions.
Pick up Tickets in the Resort – Don’t stand at guest services. There is a guest services station right in the Resort. Pick up your tickets, buttons, etc so you are ready to have fun!
Club Level Rooms
Club Level Rooms are a little more expensive, but depending on your stay can be totally worth the extra price. You will get FREE breakfast, FREE Drinks, FREE Snacks, and More in the Royal Club Lounge during your stay. If you have visited a theme park lately you know that can add up quick.

Room Service & Dining Experiences
Royal Pacific also has several on site dining experiences. While they always look so good, I only have personal experience with their room service. When you are tired, not going downstairs is totally worth it.
They have a HUGE assortment of room service options, even some pet friendly ones. I am always impressed with the quality, and quantity for the price. The Turkey Club Sandwich IS HUGE!!! Enough to feed 2 people. You have to check it out!
Other Dining Experiences
- Islands Dining Room
- Jake’s American Bar
- Wantilan Luau
- Orchid Court Lounge & Sushi Bar
- Bula Bar & Grille
Parking
The Loews Royal Pacific Resort offers valet, or you can self park in their parking lot. Keep in mind that there is a charge to self park added to your room fee. This is customary at all theme parks in the area.
If you are looking to have the BEST vacation EVER, and stay at a resort that makes you feel special the Royal Pacific is your destination! From the minute you walk in you will feel like you are on cloud 9!
