The kids are Back to School and the dreaded homework has begun. After a long day of school work the last thing the kids want to do is sit down and “learn” some more. This year we are making homework fun. We are breaking up the silence and the monotony with the BOSEbuild Speaker Cube.
We got our BOSEbuild Speaker Cube over the Summer. The kids instantly fell in LOVE with exploring how sound works. The BOSEbuild Speaker Cube is a journey through the science of sound from magnets to music. The kids learn via the BOSEbuild app, and some hands on experiments. Then they built their very own BOSEbuild Speaker Cube!
The BOSEbuild Speaker Cube now lives in our office/homework room. The kids love to pull it out and get creative, exploring what all it can do when they get fidgety after sitting still for too long. The journey starts with a guided experience – including a gamified mobile app and hands-on activities – that invites kids to experiment with how a simple magnet and coil can make sound. Even though we have already built the speaker, they can go back and still do the experiments from the beginning which is a great way to keep their minds going while having fun!
Of course, we have been enjoying the speaker since we built it! The wonderful thing about BOSEbuild Speaker Cube is after kids explore the mechanics of sound, they can build and personalize their very own durable speaker with a choice of LED lights, silhouette covers and clip arrangements. This speaker is AWESOME! Not only was it so much fun to explore and build with the kids but the sound quality is incredible!
The LED lights are absolutely the best!!! The kids will pick colors depending on their mood, the song choice, and more. We sometimes turn the lights off just to enjoy the speaker that much more! The kids can control it all from the BOSEbuild Speaker app. I realize the lights don’t have anything to do with the sound, but they just make the entire experience more fun!
This BOSEbuild Speaker has not just enabled my kids to explore the world of science and sound, but their love of music as well. We can crank up some of their favorites or some classical music while they are studying. No matter what the genre they sound crystal clear and fabulous on this little speaker that the kids built themselves. Talk about a confidence boost!
It definitely makes homework much more fun if you know you can rock out while you are getting it done. The kids feel so accomplished and proud of themselves that they built this high-performance Bluetooth speaker and they love to use it everyday! I can’t recommend this BOSEbuild Speaker enough! From discovery and exploration of the very building blocks of sound to building and customizing their own Speaker Cube, kids will enjoy a high-performance Build-it-yourself Bluetooth speaker for years to come. You can get your very own BOSEbuild Speaker Cube at https://build.bose.com/ for $149. The suggested age is 8+.
I would love to hear your ideas in the comments below. How do you let your kids explore the world around them this back to school season?
