When you are watching Harry Potter there is one character that everyone loves and that is Hedwig! That adorable snowy owl is right there by Harry’s side until he meets his end. This simple Harry Potter Craft turns an everyday white washcloth into your very own Hedwig. Check out just how easy it is to make a washcloth owl.
How to Make a Washcloth Owl
You will need
- A White Washcloth
- Rubberband or hair elastic
- 2 googly eyes
- yellow or orange felt cut into a small triangle for the beak
- ribbon (we chose garnet an gold for Gryffindor!)
- Craft glue (optional)

This is just a matter of rolling up a washcloth and decorating. Once I showed my daughter I am pretty sure she has created an entire owlry full!
These little Washcloth owls would make a great party favor or craft for a movie night. These are also a great way to deliver a letter to Hogwarts if you are planning a trip to Universal Studios.
This cute washcloth owl doesn’t have to be Harry Potter themed. You can make them with pastel colored washcloths for a baby shower, or darker colors for Halloween. Any way you make them they are simple and adorable!
