Food
Every party needs snacks, but you don’t have to go overboard. Chips & dip, veggie tray, or a fruit salad. Really you can just order a pizza. Your friends want to hang with you…not your kitchen. You can stick with the Beach Party theme and make this great Seaweed Dip with Shark Fin Chips. It’s really just a simple spinach dip with blue corn chips. Very easy and tasty.
We had some time to fire up our beach party so we pulled out the grill. This kept the food mess outside, and carried our party out to the patio, instead of being stuck inside. Being flexible is a great party tip no matter what the theme.
We kept with the beach/tropical theme by making these Teriyaki Chicken Pineapple Boats. These were a huge hit! Plus they are so simple to make! And went great with the Pina Colada Whip Cocktails.
Decor
Keep it simple. Your friends are coming to hang with you, but it is nice to set the mood. Party decor doesn’t have to be elaborate. Set the beach party mood by choosing your table decor colors to fit the theme. Simple changes like adding a bowl full of fresh fruit to the center of your table make a huge difference.
A beverage center! We set up a beverage center with a tub of ice, glasses, straws, blender, paper towels, etc. Everything you need to whip up a batch of your favorite BACARDI® Mixers.
I actually found some fish netting and covered my beverage station to carry over the beach theme. I grabbed some yellow and blue paper straws and some paper umbrellas of course. You can’t have a beach party without a drink with a paper umbrella.
The beverage center came in handy to whip these Strawberry Margaritas up for everyone. That is one thing I love about BACARDI® Mixers. One thing that no one thinks about is their mood, it can totally change how the party goes. You have to relax and be ready to party. Remember not to stress and be prepared to unwind and have a great party with your friends. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Pudge here has the right idea. You can tell he is a total party animal. 😉
