Microwaves are over used and under cleaned! Learn how to clean your microwave quickly and easily with this tip!

My microwave gets dirty in a hurry!  My kids don’t cover their food.  Then the worst is my husband doesn’t cover his food, and it heats many a cup of coffee. The trick is knowing how to clean your microwave quickly without a lot of scrubbing.

How to clean your microwave quickly

    You will need

    • bowl
    • vinegar
    • water

    Directions

Take a microwave safe bowl and fill it with 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water. Turn the microwave on high for 2-3 minutes.  Now just let that vinegar water sit in there for at least 5 minutes.  Grab some paper towels and just wipe down the inside after it has sat.

The vinegar steam is not only antibacterial, but it breaks down all the grease and makes it easy to clean.  If there is anything stuck on, just use some of that hot vinegar water to scrub it right off.  This is the only way I clean my microwave because it is so simple.  I don’t like worrying about all of those chemicals by our food.  Vinegar is not only great at cleaning, but it is safe too!

Have a quick and easy cleaning tip?  Shoot it my way!

As I recall the same thing works to get burnt on gunk off the bottom of a pot or pan. 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water boil and let sit until cool.
