Have cookies anytime the mood strikes with these Easy Freezer Cookie Dough Recipes

Who doesn’t love a fresh baked cookie right out of the oven? I don’t always feel like whipping up an entire batch of cookie dough, or baking them all at once.  Never fear…..I have an answer to your problem.  Easy Freezer Cookie dough Recipes!

This is as simple as pre-making the cookie dough, freezing it, and labeling it for when you are ready for cookies. Just pop the pre-scooped dough onto a cookie sheet, bake, and enjoy! Easy Peasy!

Freezer COokie dough-1

The secret to my success. Pre scooping the dough with my world famous cookie scoop! Have you ever tried to scoop frozen cookie dough?! That just doesn’t work. I just scoop the cookie dough onto the cookie sheet and pop in the freezer for about 30 minutes until they are good and frozen.  Then I bag them into quart size ziplocs. I label each ziploc with the type of cookie, bake temp, and bake time so I don’t get confused. I just pop them back in the freezer and store them until we are ready for a cookie.

You can pull out one cookie or an entire pan full: the choice is yours. Preheat and bake as you normally would. NO THAWING NECESSARY.  You may need to increase the baking time by 1-2 minutes. That is it. You will never buy store bought pre-made cookie dough again.

  1. I cannot believe I never thought of this! And I’d be totally lost without my scoops. Can’t wait to make a batch of dough just to try this out!

  2. Does one have to use special recipes to be able to freeze them or can most cookie recipes be done this way? Not sure why I didn’t think of this one before!
