Mood-Boosting/Uplifting
That natural citrus smell of orange oil has been proven to be uplifting and tranquilizing. Put a few drops in your essential oil diffuser when you need a pick me up. It will smell heavenly and put a smile on your face.
Degreaser & Homemade Cleaner
If you are looking to ditch chemicals and lean toward natural cleaners Orange Oil is a must. You can combine 12 drops with 1/4 cup castile soap and water in a spray bottle. This makes a great everyday surface cleaner. For more stubborn grease stains, add a few drops right to your greasy mess. Orange Essential Oil is a great degreaser.
Digestion
Orange oil can help with a variety of digestive issues, including slow digestion, constipation, colic from adverse food reactions, and even flatulence by reducing painful gas buildup in the intestines and encouraging your body to create more digestive enzymes. You can either add 5 – 6 drops to a diffuser after eating, or add 3 – 4 drops to a carrier oil and massage over your abdominal area.
Dental Hygiene
Because orange essential oils are great for killing bacteria, they can be used in your mouth to combat problems such as gingivitis, mouth ulcers, and bad breath. To improve your dental hygiene with orange oil, add a ½ teaspoon of salt and 5 drops of orange oil to a cup of warm water. Then, swish the mixture around in your mouth for at least 1 minute and gargle it for at least 30 seconds before spitting it out.
Skin Care
Orange Oil contains more concentrated vitamin c than the fruit itself. This is great for skin care. Add a couple of drop of orange essential oil to a coconut oil carrier oil and apply directly to your skin. This is a great treatment for dark spot or acne.
Remove Adhesive
Have sticker residue or another adhesive that is hard to remove? Just place a couple of drops of orange oil directly on the sticky and allow it to sit for a minute. Start to work it around with your fingers and the adhesive should come right off.
Insect Repellant
Spiders and insects, in general, hate the smell of citrus. Add a few drops to a bottle with water and spray it on plants or around a window to help repel spiders and bugs. You can also add some to a carrier oil and apply it directly to your skin to repel mosquitos and other biting insects.
Laundry Freshener
